Before anything else: Confirm you are using one of our power supplies which have a Customized Designs logo on the back sticker. #
This problem can be caused by a number of issues but is typically the result of a faulty power supply.
Power supply led is flashing #
If the green/blue light on the power supply flashes in sync with the LED Lighting then it usually a power issue.
If you only have one unit:
Purchase a new power supply or if your unit is less than a year old, contact us for warranty replacement.
If you have more than one unit / type of product:
Confirm you’re using the correct sized power supply for the correct product.
Small 24 watts (Very Small Displays)
Large 60 watts (Most Common)
Extra Large 96 watts (Very Large Displays)
Using a small power supply for a display that requires large will make it flash almost immediately when on white or may work in color changing modes until it reaches a higher power color light white and then flash/reset.
It also may work for a while, but become too hot and begin flashing.
Power supply light does not flash #
Once you’ve confirm you’re using the correct power supply, purchase a new power supply or if your unit is less than a year old, contact us for warranty replacement.
If the green light on the power supply remains on while the led lighting flashes, it may be a connection problem or a faulty controller. (inside the unit)
Other notes #
- Using the incorrect power supply with the wrong voltage or not rated for the wattage required can cause damage to the entire LED system.
- Also confirm the unit is not plugged into an outlet that can be dimmed by a dimmer switch. Dimming/Reducing voltage to the power supply will cause it to flash on/off and eventually damage it.
